Personal note /detailed application:

I have completed my B.Sc Honour's (4 years integrated course) and M.S. (thesis) in Botany in the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. In my all courses where I have spent almost 6 years of study, the language of instruction was English. Now I am continuing my studies as a postgraduate student in the program of “Ecological water quality and management at a river basin level”, in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. I have also completed a course work in the “River Water Quality” of 30 ECTS Credits in this university.
As a part of Master degree, I have finished my thesis work at sewage lagoons of a wastewater treatment plant on the basis of water quality, plankton and periphyton population in the laboratory of Phycology, Limnology and Hydrobiology, Department of Botany, University of Dhaka. The Research work had been published as a book titled "Wastewater lagoons with respect to water quality & plankton diversity- emphasis on abundance & systematics of phytoplankton" by Lambert Academic Publishing, Germany. In addition I have been engaged since 2009 to analyze water quality parameters such as alkalinity, nitrate-nitrogen, phosphate, silicate, DO, chlorophyll a and phaeopigment concentrations from a large number of water samples collected from the pond and river ecosystems as well as marine habitats of Bangladesh.
Previously, I have been worked as a Research Assistant in a project titled ‘Epidemiology and Ecology of Vibrio cholerae in Bangladesh’ from 1st October 2010 to August, 2012 in collaboration with International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research in Bangladesh (ICDDR, B). Beside this I have been involved in another project titled “Biochemical components of some aquatic macrophytes of Bangladesh” from September 2011 to present in the Laboratory of Phycology, Limnology and Hydrobiology. Moreover recently I have engrossed to publication of some papers about the area of Limnology & Hydrobiology and also relevant to the taxonomy of phytoplankton, which will be published within this year.
