Personal note /detailed application:

I have recently completed my postgraduate degree in the field of Advanced Control and Systems Engineering from The University of Manchester. Whilst I was studying for my postgraduate studies in UK, I was given an opportunity to pursue an industrial research project. I thoroughly enjoyed my research project; and this experience gave me a strong determination to pursue a full time career in research and development within the electrical industry specially, automation and control system design.

As you can see from my CV, I have the required competencies and experience which meets the graduate programme’s requirement. During my undergraduate studies, I successfully completed an internship at Amb’s C-DSP, India which gave me thorough insight into electrical and electronics product development. Apart from that, I gained commercial and technical experience while working for C-DSP while assisting on a Vacuum Pump Monitoring project along with a team of three interns. Adding on, I was also involved in a Programmable Logic Controller training program at Indo – German Tool Room (IGTR), India. At IGTR, I had to undergo intensive training on Siemens S7 PLC which was used for various industrial projects which helped me to understand the importance of multitasking. Overall, this training and internship helped me to develop my technical, interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.

To give an insight into my educational background, I have completed my B.Eng in Electrical, Electronics and Power Engineering with Distinction and M.Sc in Advanced Control and Systems Engineering with a Postgraduate Merit. Whilst studying for my undergraduate, I won first prize in a National Conference for presenting a paper on ‘Recapturing Wind Energy Expended by Moving Vehicles for Street Lighting’ additionally, my other extracurricular activities have enabled me to develop relevant abilities. For instance, as a Secretary and President of Electrical Engineering Students Association, I took an initiative for improving the education of students in rural areas. Along with my fellow student friends, I used my creative flair to teach the rural students mathematics and basics of robotics. I also organized various national and international technical events for technological community building. These experiences helped me to enhance my presentation, planning and organizational skills. Moreover, the voluntary teaching experience helped me to understand my responsibility towards society and its development.

Therefore, with the blend of my academics, extracurriculars, and my work experience, I can make a strong contribution to the EU economy, and I sincerely hope that my genuine enthusiasm for this opportunity comes through.
